Honorable Gatherings are a seasonal floral + supper event where a limited number of friends and strangers come together to honor what the earth is growing in gratitude and celebration. By creating floral arrangements with blooms locally sourced and sustainably grown, Honorable Gatherings prompt a deeper consideration of the earthen community. The opportunity to share in the tastes and smells the ground has given is a way that participants are encouraged to root themselves in a reverence for the smallest of organisms to the grandest of beings.
Cultivating community through making, feasting and caring for what is growing around us is really what Honorable Gatherings are all about. Coming together in this intimate format gives way to a gracious celebration of the earth and all its inhabitants, eliciting hope and inspiring a tenderness toward nature. These occasions allow each participant the opportunity to both share and receive in a way that is mutual and honoring.
Honorable Gatherings at various times during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Each meal is prepared with healing in mind and accommodates various dietary needs, offering a primarily plant based feast featuring farm-fresh vegetables. All floral designs are foam free and utilize local and non-toxic flowers, free of chemical sprays.

Spring Birth: When you awake from a good rest, stretch your hands and arms way out and bend, you do so to flex muscles that were once asleep. A baby emerging from the womb flails and twists as they adjust to their new environment. To welcome in the beginning of spring, we will create sculptural centerpieces as we consider the various movements of our own bodies and minds.
Summer Growth: The seeds planted in early spring are growing before our eyes and are finally here. They are forming textures, colors, shapes and sizes, all different and unique. As each blossom comes to fruition, we can honor their many varieties by creating wild and whimsical bouquets to commemorate what is growing all around us.
Fall Grand Finale: October is often the end of the great fireworks show. As leaves are beginning to change color from green to burgundy, burnt oranges and yellows, the dahlias, zinnia, cosmos, amaranth are ensuring that everyone goes out with a bang. Autumn is a time to offer divine thanks for the plants grown throughout the seasons. During the fall gathering we will create centerpieces that bring the party!
Winter Rest & Anticipation: During winter, the ground rests from growing and producing in order to prepare itself for the spring. The earth likens itself to a mother, anticipating the arrival of her children with life brewing inside and underneath. This is a time when the flowers and food, preserved from the bounty of the prior months are enjoyed. In preparation for winter, the Flower Clvb wreath making gathering will take place slightly before the winter solstice.
